You’ll serve with us. We’ll invest in you.

We’re looking for 2–3 college students to join us in San Luis Obispo for an unforgettable summer of ministry, growth, and adventure.

What You’ll Do:

As a SLO Summer Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience leading and serving in the life of Trinity Church. You’ll:

Plan and run our brand-new Vacation Bible School (3–4 days).
Serve in children’s ministry or youth ministry (each intern will focus on one area).
Help lead Sunday School and weekly youth group nights.
Join us at RYM Summer Camp with our high school students.
Organize family and student events (beach days, crazy games night, service projects).
(Optional) A worship intern may also help lead and support Sunday music ministry.

This internship isn’t just about what you’ll do—it’s about who you’ll become. You’ll:

Be mentored by our pastor and ministry leaders.
Read and reflect together on a book like J-Curve by Paul Miller.
Shadow staff and elders in real ministry settings.
Take part in off-campus trips for team building, rest, and renewal.
Gain a deeper vision for life and leadership in the church.

Selection Timeline:

Dates: June 1 – August 2, 2026 (includes orientation, ends the Sunday after RYM camp)
Pay: Interns raise support and receive a stipend (with ministry expenses supported by our church).
Housing: Provided by host families in our congregation (private room + bathroom).
Who We’re Looking For: College-aged students who love Jesus, want to grow in ministry, and are ready to invest in kids, students, and families. We hope for 1 male and 1 female intern, but all applicants are welcome.

Part of that vision includes the recent launch of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Cal Poly, extending our ministry to the heart of our college town.

Trinity is pastored by Bryce Hales. Bryce has been a pastor for over 20 years with experience in urban, suburban, and college town environments. He’s experienced with college ministry, discipleship, and lead pastor roles, along with nonprofit leadership. He is nationally and denominationally connected, an author and podcast host, and loves working with young adults.
