Ministries

College ministry at Cal Poly.

RUF meets at Trinity on Wednesday nights. Dinner's included, and we can come get you.

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America, and Trinity is its sponsoring church here in San Luis Obispo. RUF isn't a program we point students toward — it meets in our building, it's led by a minister we support, and the students who come are part of this church.

RUF at Cal Poly gathers Wednesdays at 6:30pm at 1301 Osos St, downtown. Dinner first, then teaching and honest conversation about following Jesus in the middle of a demanding degree. Come hungry. The emphasis is Cal Poly, but Cuesta students are genuinely welcome.

No car? Not a problem. We run rides to Wednesday nights and to Sunday morning worship. The quickest way to get on the list — or just to ask a question — is to join the GroupMe, fill out the interest form, or send a DM on Instagram, all linked at linktr.ee/rufcalpoly.

On Sundays, students worship with the whole church at 9 or 11am. You'll find people your age, and people who are decades ahead of you and glad to know your name.

For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.Psalm 71:5

A word to parents. If you're helping your student find a church from a few hours away, here's what you want to know: there is a real campus ministry here, it meets weekly with a meal, it's led by Rev. Micah Shelton, RUF's campus minister at Cal Poly, and transportation isn't a barrier. Your student will be known by name — by other students and by adults who aren't students. You're welcome to email us before they ever walk in.
